GEORGE III SILVER VINAIGRETTE AND A
VICTORIAN SILVER VINAIGRETTE, Birmingham, the
first by Samuel Pendleton, 1805, of rectangular
octagonal form, the cover and base bright-cut with oval
cartouches containing flower heads and initial T, within
amorphous surrounds on basket weave ground, the gilt
openwork grill with filigree scroll design, the second by
Hilliard 6c Thomason, 1852, of rectangular cartouche
form, engraved with scrolling foliage and shells, the gilt
grill pierced and engraved with flowers and scrolling
leaves, both with gilt interiors. Together with 2
Continental silver boxes, late 19th/early 20th century,
one heart-shaped, embossed and chased on the cover
with a bust resembling Louis XVI, the other oval, with 3
winged putty holding a chain of flowers, both with gilt
interiors, 15 L.
AMERICAN SILVER COFFEE POT, early 19th century, ovoid, on pedestal foot, applied with stamped bands in 2 patterns, the rim and knops with grapevine, the shoulder and foot with
flowers and foliage, the hinged domed lid repose and chased with flowers, leaves and a shell on matte ground around a bud finial, with leaf-capped swan-neck spout and C-scroll
handle with supports, monogrammed inside foot ETR, apparently unmarked, 32 gross. H.

CANDLESTICKS AND A SILVER-PLATED DISH
CROSS, the first of octagonal section on tiered petal-
form bases, the second with shell feet and supports.
Together with a Continental gilt metal mounted ivory
jewelry box, rectangular, the filigree ‘jeweled’ sides
with carved ivory panels of bacchanal scenes, the lid
mounted with a miniature painting of a royal
processional scene, velvet lined interior. H.
SET OF FOUR AMERICAN SILVER-GILT PLATES, Tiffany & Co., circa 1965, in the Bamboo pattern, in 2 sizes, each of octagonal shape with bamboo-like border, 72 D.
THREE CONTINENTAL SILVER, SILVER-GILT
AND ENAMEL BOXES, late 19th century, the first
Austrian, by Carl Mayer, Vienna, the hinged cover
enameled with a distant view of a town through birch
trees in the foreground, initialed CM, within a Greek
key border on a blue enamel ground, the second
German, circular, with engine-turned wriggle work
banding, the hinged lid with white enamel outer border,
the center enameled with a young girl carrying a cat
and a basket of roses, on a translucent white enamel
engine-turned radiating ground, and the third German,
of globular form, the hinged lid enameled with a yellow
rose, buds and leaves continuing to the base with a
translucent white engine-turned striped ground.
GROUP OF AMERICAN SILVER TABLE ARTICLES, comprising: a water pitcher, International Silver Co., ovoid, on pedestal foot, with acanthus-capped ear-form handle, monogrammed R, a
set of 12 butter plates, Gorham Mfg. Co., 1900, each applied with gadroon, shell and scroll rim, monogrammed ERT, a set of 12 coffee spoons, the terminals in the shape of
various flowers, with gilt bowls, and a set of 10 coffee spoons, Gorham Mfg. Co., in the Plymouth pattern, monogrammed R, with gilt bowls.
SWISS GOLD AND ENAMEL ZARF, circa 1830, oviform, enameled en plain with flower sprays on paisley-shaped plaques, intersected by curling ribbons of engraved scrolls on bleu
celesta enamel ground, alternating at the base with pink and white enamel upright scrolls, all against the openwork gold filigree ground, the base impressed with numeral 2. H.
VICTORIAN SILVER COVERED PITCHER,
Joseph Taylor, London, 1841, of tapered and fluted
paneled form with incurved neck, partly flat-chased
with rococo decoration, the front engraved with unicorn
crest, leaf-capped scroll handle, ivory supports, the
hinged cover with couchant pug-dog finial, fully
marked, 36 H.
AUSTRIAN SILVERED BRONZE FIGURAL INKSTAND, after Bergmann, circa 1882, in the form of a fringed carpet, mounted by 2 cats and a ball, the latter serving as an inkwell, the
hinged lid opening to reveal a glazed porcelain liner, the base impressed .
TWO VIENNESE SILVER-GILT AND ENAMEL SCENT FLASKS, 19th century, each cylindrical, painted with figures in pastoral landscapes, the hinged lids opening to reveal glass stoppers
the mounts with French 19th century discharge marks. H.

with off-white enamel and gold stripes on a black
enamel ground, signed, in fitted leatherette case, the
silk-lined lid stamped Alfred Dunhill/Paris. L.
FRENCH SILVER PART LUNCHEON SERVICE,
late 19th century/early 20th century, comprising: 6
luncheon plates, 6 butter plates, 6 dessert plates and 4
finger bowls, each embossed and chased with ribbon-
tied floral swags and empty rococo cartouches, applied
at the rim with scrolls and flowers, 193 D.
VICTORIAN SILVER SOUP LADLE AND A
PAIR OF SILVER FISH SERVERS, the first William
Eaton, London, 1852, Kings pattern, the second,
probably Jacob Winter, London, 1853, the hour-glass-
form handles engraved with strap work, the tines and
blade pierced with conforming decoration, stamped
with retailer I. Freeman, 18 .
AMERICAN SILVER FLATWARE SERVICE,
Towle Mfg. Co., circa 1895 and later, in the Old
Colonial pattern, comprising: 6 dinner knives, 5 dinner
forks, 7 salad or fish forks, 6 bouillon spoons, 6 butter
spreaders, 5 round soup spoons, 8 teaspoons and a
luncheon fork, most monogrammed L, 44 excluding
knives.
TWO VICTORIAN SILVER CREAMERS AND A GEORGE III SUGAR BASKET, the first maker’s mark TJC&N, London, 1852, of paneled pear form, on spreading scrollwork foot, embossed and chased
with flowers and foliage, with double C-scroll handle, the second Chas. Stuart Harris, London, 1887, of barrel form, embossed and chased in Japanese style with crane, another
bird and water foliage, engraved with interlocking initials, gilt interior, and the third London, 1790, of boat form with reefed borders and swing handle, later chased with
racially, gilt interior, maker’s mark obscure. Together with a Russian silver creamer, St. Petersburg, circa 1900, of oval section with fluted lower body, gilt interior, 17 H.
AUSTRIAN SILVER SEVEN-LIGHT
CANDELABRA, probably Ebert & Co., Vienna, early
20th century, the curling branches supported by a
standing putt holding the foliate scroll standard, on
domed circular base and 4 shell feel, convertible to a
candlestick, 77 H.
CONTINENTAL ENAMELED SILVER-MOUNTED GLASS DESK SET, probably French, 19th century, comprising: a pair of candlesticks, a covered inkwell, a seal and another open vessel, each
etched with shaped rectangular panels alternating with rosettes, mounted with silver bands of trefoils alternating with loops on a matte ground, with beaded edges, the
translucent green enamel over engine-turning, the hinged cover of the well with gold highlighting, the top of the blank seal engraved with interlocking initials RE. H.
AMERICAN SILVER COCKTAIL SHAKER AND
A WATER PITCHER, the first by International Silver
Co., in the Royal Danish pattern, of pear form with
beaded scroll finial, the second by During, Division of
Gorham, in the Colfax pattern, octagonal, engraved
with stylized foliage and monogram ARD, 49 H.
SILVER KETTLE ON LAMPSTAND WITH
BURNER, of pear form with fluted lower body and
spout, presentation inscription, the hinged domed cover
with ivory finial, with rattan-wrapped upright handle,
the stand on 3 shell feet, bearing hallmarks for London,
1810, 35 gross H.
